Day 1: Kathmandu to Deurali
We will meet at Machhapokhari at 6:00 AM and begin our journey with a scenic bus ride towards Dhunche (2030m). After arriving around 12:00 PM, we will have lunch and begin our trek on foot. The trail gradually ascends through beautiful forests and mountain villages. By around 4:00 PM, we will reach Deurali (2670m) for a tea break and some rest. Dinner will be served at 8:00 PM, followed by an overnight stay in Deurali. (Approx. 100 km drive + 6 km hike)
Day 2: Deurali to Lauribina
After breakfast at 7:00 AM, we continue trekking uphill through rhododendron forests and scenic mountain trails. We will reach Singompa (3350m) around 10:00 AM for lunch and a short break. Continuing further, we ascend to Lauribina (3600m), arriving around 4:00 PM, just in time to enjoy breathtaking sunset views over the Himalayas. After settling in, we will have dinner and enjoy a warm campfire gathering before resting for the night. (Approx. 9 km hike)
Day 3: Lauribina to Gosaikunda and back to Singompa
We begin early at 4:00 AM for the most exciting day of the trek. Hiking steadily upward, we will reach the sacred alpine lake Gosaikunda (4400m) by around 7:00 AM, where we will have a self-carried breakfast and spend about five hours exploring the lake area, with an optional walk up to Suryakunda. After soaking in the spiritual and natural beauty, we begin our descent, stopping for lunch before returning to Lauribina for a short rest. We continue downhill to Singompa (3350m), arriving around 6:00 PM for tea, followed by dinner and overnight stay. (Approx. 20 km hike total)
Day 4: Singompa to Kathmandu
We start our final day early at 5:00 AM, descending back toward Deurali, where we will stop for breakfast around 7:00 AM. Continuing down, we reach Dhunche (2030m) by 10:00 AM and board our return bus to Kathmandu. After a lunch stop at Bidur, we expect to arrive back in Kathmandu around 4:00 PM, concluding our memorable Gosaikunda adventure. (Approx. 9 km hike + 100 km drive)
